Known locally as the Free Presbyterian Church, the Congregation was established in 1853, just 7 years after the denomination began in Sydney.

We have meetings in three centres--Taree, Wingham and Tinonee.

Our church building in Tinonee is a well known historical landmark, dating from 1880.

You are warmly invited to worship with us.

We are a Bible-focused Church, where the preaching and studying of God's infallible Word forms the foundation for our church life. We are a theologically conservative, Protestant, evangelical church which traces its roots back through the Reformation in Scotland, and ultimately to the church of the apostles.

Our church leaders agree with the teachings of the Bible as summarized in the Westminster Confession of faith.

As well as the 10.00 am Sunday morning worship service in Taree (62 High Street), there are a number of other activities each week:

  • There are weekly Sunday Evening Bible Fellowship meetings in Wingham and Tinonee, with more informal fellowship around God's Word.

  • Prayer and Bible Study groups are held during school term times, usually fortnightly, in Chatham, Harrington, Taree, Tinonee, and Wingham.

  • Sunday School is in Taree at 10:20 am, and Youth Groups in Tinonee at 4:30 pm, Friday (Junior) and in Taree at 4.30 pm, Friday. There is a young people's Bible study at Tinonee at 7.30 pm Monday. In addition, there are a number of Ladies' Groups, including KYB Bible Study Groups, and the Ladies' Missionary Society.

Just come along! You'd be most welcome.
