THE UNIQUENESS OF CHRISTWe live in a time when it is widely held that there are many roads which lead to ‘God’ (‘pluralism’), and that it is unkind and intolerant to ever tell anyone that they are wrong. The Bible clearly teaches that there is only one way to God. Jesus said ‘I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me’ (John 14:6). ‘He who does not honour the Son does not honour the Father who sent him’ (John 5:23). The uniqueness of Christ as the Son of God and as the only Saviour of men was upheld by the Apostles as shown for example in Acts 4:12: ‘nor is there salvation in any other for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved’. |
